Our New North Toronto Personal Trainer Is Passionate about Strengthening Seniors

Vintage Fitness would like to welcome Jennifer Ferguson to our Personal training team

Vintage Fitness would like to welcome Jennifer Ferguson to our Personal training team.  Jennifer brings to the team a wealth of knowledge about nutrition and the best exercises for seniors.  Her warm personality and strong communication skills gained working in a rehabilitation hospital means that she sets a clear plan for her clients and explains it in a way that is easy to understand.

Her Credentials

  • Honours Diploma, Health Fitness Trainer – Bryan College
  • Certified Personal Trainer, National Academy of Sports Medicine
  • Level I Nutrition Coach, Precision Nutrition
  • Certified Indoor Cycling Instructor, Schwinn Cycling
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR-C/AED, St. John’s Ambulance

Jennifer is a former competitive swimmer, journalist, communications professional and health care executive turned fitness pro. She learned to play tennis in her 20s, ski in her 30s and has been a regular at the gym for more than 30 years. Her current passion is cycling.

Jennifer was inspired to become a Personal Trainer having cared for her aging mother for more than a decade. She feels strongly that, as a society, we can do a better job of taking care of older adults and that personal training should be an essential service for seniors to help them remain active and independent.

A firm believer in science and evidence-based practice, Jennifer can attest to the well documented benefits of exercise and good nutrition for people of all ages. She chooses to work with people her own age or older so they can continue to live life on their own terms - doing the things they love and enjoy for as long as possible.
