Fall Prevention Certificate Course
Vintage Fitness is inviting YOU to a special training day on Saturday, May 31, 2025!
In this training, you will be given the opportunity to learn amongst current Vintage instructors, and others pursuing more knowledge in seniors’ fitness instruction.
This day is for you if:
- You have experience/certification in group fitness training and/or personal training
- You have a passion for working with seniors
- You want to gain more specialized knowledge and experience in fall prevention methods and group class exercise programming
- You are interested in the possibility of teaching with Vintage Fitness, and/or you want to gain more skills to use in your work and/or volunteer position
- You have current CPR/First Aid
- Preferred but not necessary; already have another older adult fitness certification or equivalent experience or education
During the training, you can expect:
- a detailed presentation on fall prevention and how best to approach modifying exercises for seniors at different levels
- to gain specialized knowledge in leading a fully designed progressive 12-week program
- to see demonstrations of full class components
- an opportunity to practice and lead components of the class in small groups, with guidance
- to have time to ask questions and receive expert support
- to receive a certificate of completion of the Falls Prevention Course by Vintage Fitness
When: Saturday May 31st
Time: 9am to 6pm, with a late morning break and lunch break
Where: YMCA, 567 Sheppard Avenue East, North York, Ontario M2K 1B2
