Exercises for Seniors During Long Road Trips or Plane Rides + Holiday Gift Offer

We're thrilled to share a new video from Leigh, our dedicated owner, where she demonstrates three easy exercises that seniors can perform in a plane, train, or car to stay active and mobile. These exercises are very appropriate for seniors traveling during this holiday season. These simple yet effective movements are designed to help maintain flexibility and reduce stiffness during travel.
Video Highlights:
- Chair Walk (a.k.a. ‘cheek to cheek’)- This exercise helps loosen the lower spine, perfect for long journeys: Lift one hip up, then the other, repeating for 30 seconds. Do this while you’re sitting in the plane or as a passenger in the car to help loosen your lower spine.
- Surrender Angels (like bent arm snow angels): - Improve your upper back and chest flexibility with this gentle stretching: Raise your arms up in a ‘surrender’ motion, stretching them all the way up, then move them down, bringing them back as you do so. Squeeze through your upper back, stretching through your chest. Repeat 10-15 times.
- Head Rolls (front only) - A great way to relieve neck tension and increase mobility: oll your head slowly and gently from one side to the other, looking over your shoulder each time. Repeat for 30 seconds.
