Three exercises to prevent the most common falls
One third of all Canadian people over 65 will fall this winter. Erin the owner of Vintage Fitness shows you a few exercises that mimic the movements that often cause falls including tripping over pets, getting into a car and reaching forward.
It is important to do dynamic movements to improve your balance as opposed to focussing on standing balance. Falls happen when we are in motion- getting up from chairs, tripping over things and walking on uneven surfaces.
