Keep Thanksgiving Healthy
Happy Thanksgiving. A few clients this week asked Vintage Fitness personal trainers here in Toronto how to stick to their healthy living and eating habits over thanksgiving.
Here are a few tips to keep you on track this weekend:
- Make roasted root vegetables such sweet potatoes, onion, turnip and squash as one of your side dishes. They are nutritious, local this time of year and they will fill you up
- Commit to only having one serving at dinner
- Start a post dinner family walk tradition
- Go light on the sauces such as gravy
- Make pumpkin muffins instead of pumpkin pie
- Write your exercise plan for the weekend into your calendar today
- How can you make the holiday more about being thankful for your family and friends and less about overeating?
