Too hot to exercise?
Good Morning,
Many clients have been calling and asking me what exercise they should be doing with the heat wave that we are having in Toronto so I thought I would jot down a few tips about exercising and heat.
It is important to keep moving even in the heat.
Keep these tips in mind:
1. Avoid the hottest part of the day and do your exercise early in the morning or in the evening
2. Drink water in the evening as well as throughout the day so that you don't wake up dehydrated and remember that headaches, muscle pain and lack of focus can be a sign of dehydration.
3. Focus on your flexibility--your muscles will be nice and warm with this heat so it is a good chance to ease pain and stiffness in tight muscles. Try the stretches in this exercise guide
Good Luck!
